Why I Support Bernard Sansaricq for Congress
By Yomin Postelnik

Key to victory is that Republicans develop a 435 strategy, fielding candidates in every seat.  The need to take the fight to Democrats should be obvious to anyone who’s ever watched as much as a little league game in which one team has a great offense while the other plays a fine defensive strategy.  Team offense wins 10-1.

Fielding a candidate in each congressional district also allows us to gain some real stars who want to do amazing things for their district.  Few if any have ever run with a more unique story than 2010’s Republican candidate for Florida’s 23rd district, renown human rights leader Bernard Sansaricq.

To begin with, Bernard Sansaricq knows the struggle for human rights first hand.  This leader, who eventually rose to become the President of the Senate in Haiti, saw 13 members of his family killed by the Duvalier regime in 1964.  In August 1987, Sansaricq was almost assassinated by the Haitian Army. His life was spared when friends managed to bring him to safety at Haiti's Argentine Embassy.

From his place of refuge, Sansaricq launched the beginnings of a stunning political career, one that saw him rise to become one of Haiti’s top leaders and President of the Haitian Senate.  His platform was one of human rights and until former President Jean-Bertrand Aristide overturned his humanitarian and crime reduction initiatives, Sansaricq was able to accomplish much for his people, including the introduction of a living wage for many and improved US relations.  Sansaricq was American educated and returned to the United States in 1994.

A passionate believer in economic achievement, American human rights and excellence, Sansaricq is now running for US Congress in Florida’s 23rd congressional district.  His goal is to fight for better conditions for small business and to champion human rights.  With regard to the latter, he believes that the United States should work with Haiti to end the horrific abuses of backbreaking child labor and lay the foundation for a stable economy.  A passionate believer in human rights everywhere, Sansaricq will also step up pressure on the Castro regime to respect human rights, stand with Israel and India against terror and lead the cause for better economic conditions and fair treatment all across the globe.

Sansaricq is very experienced on the international stage and is finishing his second book on international affairs. During the first overthrow of Aristide, Sansaricq was in constant contact with the US Ambassador in Haiti and met with then Congressman and future UN Ambassador Bill Richardson, seeking to cement better relations between the United States and the island nation.  Such improved relations would not only benefit Haiti.  They would help curb threats against the United States throughout Central and Latin America.   Sansaricq was also a regular guest on Nightline, Good Morning America and the Today Show as international attention turned to the island.

“I believe that America has been a force for good throughout the world,” concludes Sansaricq, “but we must also ensure that we provide for our people at home.  People in District 23, be they native born, Haitian-American, Cuban-American, or other, all care about economic opportunity.  We need to support small business, the bedrock of our job market and the lifeblood of many of our families.  We need to give youth a reason to stay in school, by showing them the opportunities that education helps them to achieve.  District 23 is among the most impoverished in the nation, and it’s about time somebody does something about it.”

Asked why he is running, Sansaricq replied, “first of all, I believe in the principles of personal responsibility and self motivation.  I also believe that families provide our youth with the optimal conditions for success.  I also believe that the Republican Party has been more willing to stand up to the brutality embodied by the Castro regime and more willing to pressure the Haitian government to take action against the horrific child labor abuses throughout its countryside.”

Sansaricq continued, “but what my campaign is about is ensuring economic excellence, strengthening the ability of families to achieve the American Dream and reforming the justice system so that we stop making career criminals out of previously non-violent offenders.”

It should be noted that Sansaricq’s campaign for criminal justice reform, an issue that we are working on as a team, is one that is crucial to the safety of society and to the nation as a whole, yet it is often overlooked because it isn’t a hot button issue.  Real leadership means identifying problems before they become hot button topics, and doing something about them.  That’s what is so attractive about this campaign.

Asked if he can beat long time incumbent Alcee Hastings, Sansaricq replied, “in a word, yes.  2010 is not a presidential election year.  There are no other issues on the table for people in District 23 other than what is good for the district.  They’ll have my platform, I am a fighter and I intend to bring real change, change that comes from experience at improving the conditions of those who need it most.”

Victory will be ours on November 2010 !

Presenting the next Congressman of the 23rd District !

Bernard Sansaricq

Courageous - Bold - A Real Fighter.

Bernard Sansaricq, when elected to the US Congress, will work hard to keep this country safe against Global terrorism and its state sponsors.

Immediately secure our borders and cease taxpayer-funded benefits to illegal aliens, reinforce the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) in order to deal with the flow of Illegal Aliens, make Border Patrol part of the Department of Defense, enforce and support all existing immigration laws.

Make English our National language.

Support Israel, and to share its protection with our allies, make them a member of NATO.

My Pledge to the People of America and The Constituents of District 23 in Florida:

I will strongly support our Military.

I will strongly Support all Law Enforcements Agencies.

I will strongly support our Intelligence Agencies.

I will Fight to Lower Taxes, reduce corporate and Capital Gains taxes, reward corporations with tax cuts and give them incentives to keep jobs on American soil. Cut Government waste, prevent appropriations bills from including unrelated projects, and immediately discontinue the practice of earmarks to restore fiscal responsibility. Simplify the tax code to offer a one page tax return, abolish the Death Tax and Alternative Minimum Taxes. Protect the Environment, Vote to eliminate Caps on Domestic Oil Production. I will vote against all bail-outs unless strictly necessary to keep jobs in our country.

I will fight to have term limits for both: the US Senate and the House of Representatives.

I will fight to place all members of Congress and all Federal Employees on Social Security, not on some special retirement privilege that will only apply to them and other Federal Employees.

I will fight to place all Americans under the same healthcare system: American Citizens- Federal employees and members of Congress. That includes the President of the United States.

I will fight against hypocrisy and double standards: Members of Congress should never vote laws that will not apply to them and their immediate family. NEVER! NEVER! We must all be under the same Social Security System and the same Healthcare program. We have to end this special double-standard in America. The Congress works for the people of the United States.

 Foreign Policy:

America
spends 700 billions dollars a year in Foreign aid; a great part of those funds (U.S taxpayer’s money) is given to governments who are not real allies of America, in fact some of these governments really hate us.

I have also seen first hand, funds from the PL-480, a government program created by the government of President Dwight David Eisenhower and signed into Law on July 10, 1954, when Eisenhower stated that the legislation's purpose was to: "lay the basis for a permanent expansion of our exports of agricultural products with lasting benefits to ourselves and peoples of other lands”.

In 1961 President Kennedy renamed the program “Food for Peace”. I have seen first hand the funds generated from this great program stolen and pocketed by Foreign Officials. I will work hard to make all governments receiving foreign aid from our country, and benefiting from the PL-480 Program, fully accountable and responsible for every American taxpayer’s dollar we spend abroad.

I will help shape our foreign policy to make it work effectively, creating friends instead of enemies for America. We are in danger of loosing all our friends, not only in the Western Hemisphere but all over the World. I will work hard to reverse that trend, as I have experienced first hand the arrogant clumsiness of some of our top officials working abroad.

America must remain Strong militarily and economically but also understand it is in our best interest to back up friendly governments and work with them, rather than “puppets” that have never been able to help their people or their country.

By changing the way we conduct our Foreign Policy, if we do it in an effective and intelligent way, helping foreign governments to work effectively for the welfare of their citizen, it will also keep the citizen of those counties at home and will greatly diminish the flow of illegal aliens coming to this country. We must and we have an obligation to make those governments accountable and responsible for the welfare of their citizens, instead of coming to our country’s capital to lobby for such things as: TPTC – work permits - for the citizen of their respective country.

We must deny entry visas to the United States of all foreign officials and their cronies stealing their country blind and coming to spend their stolen fortune here in the States. The small benefits we might gain by allowing them to do just that, is grossly outweigh by the heavy price we pay to support illegal aliens fleeing countries impoverished by these irresponsible “leaders”: It is costing us, some 340 billions to deal with the onslaught of the 12 millions + illegal aliens now in the US.

Education and Health Care:

Almost every school in the 23rd District has a failing rate of over 50%. We have to make sure that we give the school district an upper hand in school’s curriculum and provide more security and better pay for teachers. Also provide school vouchers to all students whose parents would wish to have them attend better schools while we work to strengthen the school system of every school in the District to provide better education.

Allow open market purchase of health care insurance throughout the US, rather than restrict options by state and other market driven solutions. Strengthen the Medicare program for our seniors, and provide Medicaid to those who can’t afford health Insurance, making sure that the program is not abused by illegal aliens and those who can definitely afford to pay for their own Insurance. Make sure we provide health care and prescriptions funding for all Senior citizen born or residing legally in this country. Too many of them are not able to purchase badly needed prescriptions drugs, while collecting just straight Social Security checks.

We must require “E-prescriptions” only to eliminate fraud and errors.

CULTURE OF LIFE:

I deeply respect and support the Sanctity of Life. I have seen and suffered personally repressive regimes overseas and seen them assassinate, repress and murder their own citizen. I lost 13 members of my own family in a country where assassins at the service of a government, supposedly “elected” to protect their citizens, was instead installing a repressive form of dictatorship. Having witnessed and suffered what very few human beings have experienced in their Lifetime makes me an expert in the matter. What others read in book and talk about casually, I have seen and suffered personally just like the survivors of the Holocaust of Hitler’s Germany: Definitely: I have the deepest respect for the Sanctity of LIFE from the time of Conception.

ECONOMY

On the economy, we need to fight, encourage, help and promote small business development, growth, and solvency.  These businesses are the backbone of our economy. Also, we have to promote the easing of lending to credit worthy individuals with great ideas and solid plans and this will do far more good for our economy than will big government bailouts. I will fight for small businesses in the District to flourish and succeed.

Support for our Troops:

We must ensure that Troops funding must NEVER stop as long as American soldiers are deployed in a war zone.

Provide health care funding for any deployed soldier serving or injured in the line of duty as a fully funded annual budget line item.

VA mortgage funding should include a credit equal to a 10% down payment for a first home purchase.

George Washington.

Life begins at Conception! Yes, that’s make me Pro-Life!

I have seen first hand how Foreign aid works:  It is help paid by the poor people of rich countries to help rich men and dictators of the poor countries. I pledge to you that I will work tirelessly as your Congressman to stop the waste of hard earned American taxpayer’s money ($700 Billions yearly) to rich dictators and their accomplices.

Illegal Aliens in the U.S are costing us $338.5 Billions dollars a year. We have to take care of American Citizens First. I pledge to work hard in order to stop such waste and use all our resources to help US Citizens first, especially those that have worked all their lives, contributed to the growth of this Great country and are in dire need of help now.
